Poland
Poland had to endure two play-off matches after the group qualification had ended in order to book their ticket for this Euro 2024 in Germany which the Poles eventually safely navigated following wins against Estonia 5-1 and then Wales on penalties, courtesy of the Path A route via the Nations League.
In their qualifying Group E, Poland produced an unconvincing campaign as Michal Probierz's side finished in third place behind the group winners Albania and runners-up Czech Republic and they only just pipped Moldova into third place at that!
Therefore, Poland look set to struggle in Group D of the Euro 2024 finals.
Netherlands
Netherlands suffered an early setback in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign after being handed a heavy 4-0 rout at the hands of France, and then Les Bleus registered a 2-1 win away in Netherlands later on but nevertheless Oranje picked up six wins in the other games to qualify as runners-up in comfortable fashion.
However, Ronald Koeman's side once again find themselves in the same group as the World Cup runners-up France in Group D so if they are to progress through to the knockout rounds, it looks like they will have to make the most of their games against Poland and Austria.
Austria
Austria were narrowly edged out for a top spot finish in their qualifying Group F by Belgium who won the group by a slender one-point margin but nevertheless it was an encouraging and highly promising Euro campaign by the Austrians who picked up six wins and lost just once in their eight group matches.
During qualification, Austria registered a 3-0 win away in Sweden and held Belgium to a 1-1 draw on the road, so Ralph Rangnick's side are not likely to be over-awed by facing the likes of Poland and Netherlands in Group D.
France
France head into the Euro 2024 finals as one of the favourites to win the European crown and having finished top of their qualifying Group B with seven wins and a draw along with scoring a total of 23 goals and conceding just three in reply, it's easy to see why.
Only Portugal (36 goals) scored more than Les Bleus during qualification and with the likes of striker Kylian Mbappe (9 goals during qualification) and the ever-green Olivier Giroud (3 goals) at long-serving national coach Didier Deschamps' disposal, the French once again look an imposing outfit ahead of these finals in Germany.
Since losing to Argentina on penalties in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, France have won nine of their subsequent 12 internationals in all competitions including high-scoring wins against Netherlands 4-0, Scotland 4-1 and a 14-0 humiliation of Gibraltar in the qualifying phase.
Group D Predictions
France are the outstanding favourites to win Group D but Poland, Netherlands and Austria look set to be involved in an intriguing contest for the runners-up spot.
Austria may spring a few surprises in this group.
Therefore, our main bet will be France to Win Group D @ 1.53
