Slovenia
Slovenia finished runners-up behind Denmark in their qualifying Group H only by the fact that the Danes recorded a 2-1 home win against them but the two nations not only face each other again in Group C of this Euro 2024 but they also meet in the opening game of this group in a 5pm kick-off on Sunday 16th in Stuttgart.
Although they lost to Finland and Denmark, Slovenia also collected seven wins and a draw in what turned out to be a highly competitive group that included Finland, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland and San Marino with only four points separating the top four nations.
Slovenia are more than capable of holding their own in this upcoming Group C as Matjaz Kek's side have been handed just two defeats in their last 19 internationals in all competitions.
Denmark
Denmark finished top of the qualifying Group H by virtue of that aforementioned 2-1 win against Slovenia whilst collecting seven wins within their 10 group games during the qualifying phase which included notable wins against Finland (home and away), Northern Ireland and Kazakhstan.
Denmark also bring an impressive string of results into these Euro 2024 finals in Germany as Kasper Hjulmand's side have suffered just the single defeat in their previous 10 games in all competitions while also picking up seven wins in the process, and indeed, head coach Hjulmand holds a 63% win-rate for the Danish national team.
Serbia
Serbia ended runners-up in their qualifying Group G which looked like being a tough contest for all five nations; Serbia, Hungary, Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria, but it was Hungary who came out on top by a four-point margin over the Serbs who were fired to automatic qualification for Euro 2024 by former Fulham & Newcastle United striker, Aleksander Mitrovic.
Although Serbia suffered defeats at the hands of the group winners, Hungary, in home and away losses, local derby wins against Montenegro home and away would have been very satisfying for Dragan Stojkovic and his players and The Eagles will be looking for positive results against Slovenia and Denmark and hope that's enough.
England
England once again qualified for another major tournament in fairly comfortable fashion as the Three Lions finished top of their qualifying Group C which included important wins against Italy home and away and a 2-0 home win against Ukraine, whilst going on a veritable goalscoring spree in their 7-0 demolition of North Macedonia.
Expectations are high for Gareth Southgate's 'new generation' that consists of match-winners such as Foden, Bellingham and Rice and although Bayern Munich failed this season, striker Harry Kane enjoyed himself in front of goal as he plundered a total of 36 goals in this season's Bundesliga.
The ever-increasing question appears to be whether Southgate can get a title-winning tune out of his star-studded squad?
Group C Predictions
England should finish top of Group C with relative ease and it appears Denmark and Serbia will fight it out for the runners-up spot, while Slovenia are expected to make things tough overall during the group stage.
Therefore, our main bet will be Serbia to qualify from Group C @ 1.57
