Here is our Toronto FC v Cincinnati tip and game preview. Based on our detailed analysis of statistics listed below and other factors, we predicted both teams to not score in this game, under 2.5 goals, and a Cincinnati away win. Our confidence in this tip was high relative to other tips.
Toronto FC head into this upcoming all-Eastern Conference clash against high-flying Cincinnati on the back of a resounding 5-1 victory over Canadian counterparts Montreal in last week's MLS action, while Cincinnati continued their winning streak with a 3-1 home win against St Louis City as the visitors remain in second place in the Eastern Conference ladder.
Toronto currently occupy fifth place in the Eastern Conference table where they are nicely positioned for a possible place in the Finals Series with a five-point cushion over eighth placed Philadelphia Union prior to this weekend's action in the MLS.
However, Toronto's recent results have either been wins or losses and despite picking up four wins in their last six games with victories achieved against New England, Orlando City, Dallas and the aforementioned comprehensive win against Montreal, John Herdman's side have also shown a vulnerable and inconsistent streak to their nature too.
The Canadian hosts have also been handed five defeats within their last nine games overall which includes losses on home soil at their BMO Field against the likes of Sporting Kansas and New York City, the latter being a 3-2 loss to the third placed side in the Eastern Conference and seven points behind second placed Cincinnati.
Cincinnati find themselves sitting in second spot on the Eastern Conference ladder and just a single point behind the current leaders Inter Miami after putting together an impressive and encouraging six-match winning streak which has also helped the visitors to a very healthy looking 13-point buffer between themselves and eighth placed Philadelphia Union.
Within this six-match winning streak, Cincinnati have registered wins on their travels at Atlanta United, Orlando City and Columbus Crew respectively which have contributed to Cincinnati's lofty position in the Conference and has placed them in pole position for a spot in the Finals Series later on in the season.
The bigger picture shows Cincinnati have been dealt just two defeats out of their last 14 matches overall in the MLS which came in the form of losses at the hands of New York RB (home) and Montreal (away), but also includes picking up a total of nine wins in the process as well.
Results on the road have been particularly impressive for Pat Noonan's side as the visitors have slipped to just one defeat within their previous 13 outings on their travels while accumulating nine wins within this very solid period and perhaps just as important is the fact that they recorded a 3-2 win at Toronto in their last meeting at BMO Field.
Toronto FC v Cincinnati Verdict
Cincinnati have won four out of the previous five meetings against Toronto FC and with winning momentum behind them, the visitors look the most likely for the points here as well.
Therefore, our main bet will be Cincinnati win @ 2.37
Other side bets worth considering:
Cincinnati win & Under 2.5 goals @ 6.00
Correct Score: Cincinnati 1-0 @ 10.00
