New York RB were handed a local derby 2-1 defeat to city rivals, New York City, last time out in the MLS but the Red Bulls return to their Red Bull Arena for this upcoming encounter against Charlotte as the hosts look to return to winning ways in order to further cement their place in the automatic Final Series spots with all three points here, while Charlotte were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Philadelphia Union which resulted in the visitors dropping down to seventh place in the Eastern Conference table.
