New England vs Toronto Preview

Next up is an all-Eastern Conference encounter between third-placed hosts, New England, and their second from bottom placed visitors, Toronto, when the two sides face off at the Gillette Stadium on Saturday night with the home side no doubt eager to extend their unbeaten run in the MLS to six matches.

Three draws with the likes of Chicago Fire, Atlanta United and New York City were followed up with back-to-back victories over Inter Miami and Orlando City, both of which were on home turf and both by 3-1 margins.

Having lost just twice in their last 15 matches overall in the MLS, both of which were defeats on their travels, New England look well placed to add to their points tally on Saturday, particularly as Bruce Arena's side are unbeaten in their last 10 games at their Gillette Stadium, picking up seven wins in the process.

In addition, seven of new England's last 10 home games have also resulted in Over 2.5 goals scored too.

It's been a tough campaign in the MLS so far for visitors, Toronto, as they not only sit second from bottom in the Eastern Conference table but they have also managed to collect just one win from their last nine outings overall.

That rare success for the Canadian club came in the form of a 2-1 home win against DC United but although they have picked up points in draws with New York RB, Chicago Fire, Minnesota United and Nashville, defeats to New England (2-0 at home), Montreal, Austin and Cincinnati have outweighed the positives.

Toronto have managed to capture just three wins throughout this MLS campaign overall, each of which were achieved on home turf at their BMO Field with victories against Inter Miami, New York City and DC United but results away from home have been poor by comparison.

The Canadian visitors have failed to pick up a single win on the road all season to date, drawing four and losing five of their nine outings on their travels and this does not bode well for this upcoming trip to face an in-form New England outfit in their own backyard on Saturday night.

New England v Toronto Verdict

New England have produced some impressive results at home this season especially as the hosts still remain unbeaten at their Gillette Stadium so far this term along with possessing the third-highest goalscoring record at home in the Conference as well.

Saturday's hosts are also unbeaten in the last four meetings against Toronto, so New England look the more likely to capture the spoils in this upcoming clash.

Therefore, our main bet will be New England win @ 1.75

Other side bets worth considering:

New England win & Over 2.5 goals @ 2.40

Correct score: New England 3-0 @ 13.00
