Real Valladolid slipped to yet another defeat in the Spanish top flight in midweek when the upcoming hosts were handed a 2-1 defeat away from home at Sevilla which in turn extended their winless run in La Liga to six games, while Mallorca picked up a second win on the trot by way of an impressive 2-1 win on the road at Real Betis to lift the visitors up into an early fifth place position in the La Liga table.
