Real Betis secured all three points in last weekend's 2-0 win away from home at Osasuna in La Liga which not only became a third league win on the trot for Sunday's hosts but it has also kept Manuel Pellegrini's side in touch with the European spots and just two points within reach of sixth placed Real Sociedad ahead of Sunday's encounter against bottom placed Almeria who have already been relegated from the Spanish top tier.

Real Betis have registered three wins out of their last four games overall in La Liga which includes previous important wins against Celta Vigo and Valencia respectively while also picking up a point in a stalemate with Sevilla and the hosts will no doubt be eager to make home advantage count as they look to make the most of this upcoming fixture against poor Almeria.

Sunday's hosts had previously been handed four defeats on the trot from early March through to the end of that month which included losses incurred at the hands of Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Rayo Vallecano and Girona respectively but it should also be noted that three of these four defeats were dealt out to Pellegrini's side on their travels.

Almeria now only have pride left to play for as the visitors have already been relegated from La Liga but any thoughts of Pepe Mel's side just meekly surrendering their top flight status in the run-in of this campaign were quashed last weekend when Almeria registered a 1-0 win away from home at Rayo Vallecano.

The visitors had also produced a 1-0 win on the road at Las Palmas back in mid-March but unfortunately these two wins have been the extent of Almeria's highlights to date in what has otherwise been a disastrous top flight campaign for Pepe Mel and his side as La Liga 2 beckons next season.

Nevertheless, as both of Almeria's wins this season have been registered on their travels, Real Betis will still need to put in a professional shift on Sunday night despite the bigger picture showing Almeria have recorded just two wins in their last 21 outings on the road in La Liga, including slipping to 15 defeats along the way.

Real Betis are still very much in the frame for a possible European spot for next season and although Almeria will be keen to go out with a bang, the hosts look the more solid and consistent outfit heading into this upcoming clash on Sunday night and should take the spoils and perhaps keep a clean sheet.
