Las Palmas' miserable run of results in the Spanish top flight continued on the weekend when the hosts were handed a 1-0 loss away from home at Mallorca which also extended Las Palmas' losing streak in La Liga to eight defeats on the trot, while Real Betis recorded a 3-2 home win against Almeria which not only extended the visitors' unbeaten sequence to five games overall but has also lifted Real Betis up into sixth place in the La Liga table.
