Girona will be looking to avoid a third league defeat on the trot in the Spanish top flight on Monday night as they prepare for the visit from lowly 15th placed Las Palmas to their Estadi Municipal de Montilivi following recent losses to Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano respectively.

Las Palmas gained a point in a 1-1 draw at home with Osasuna last time out in La Liga but nevertheless, the visitors have dropped down to 15th place in the Spanish top flight standings as they have failed to win any of their last three league matches, including slipping to two defeats prior.

The visitors had previously been handed back-to-back defeats by Getafe 2-1 at home and a resounding 4-1 loss away from home at Real Madrid, so Las Palmas manager, Diego Martínez, will be urging his players to return to the sort of form which has previously seen his side put together a useful looking four-match unbeaten sequence.
