Here is our Hibernian v Ross County tip and game preview. Based on our detailed analysis of statistics listed below and other factors, we predicted both teams to score in this game, over 2.5 goals, and a draw. Our confidence in this tip was low relative to other tips.
Tuesday night features this upcoming lower half table clash in the Scottish Premiership between eighth placed Hibernian and 11th placed Ross County when the two teams face off at Easter Road with Hibs looking to end a four-match winless spell while Ross County will be looking to halt a five-match sequence without a win in the domestic top flight.
Despite being with a win for four games though, Hibernian did manage to hold the runaway league leaders, Celtic, to a 0-0 draw at Easter Road on Saturday afternoon and along with points picked up in previous draws with Dundee and Hearts, Tuesday night's hosts will be fairly confident that they can get something from this upcoming encounter with Ross County as well.
After losing their opening three games on the trot of this new Scottish Premiership season having been handed defeats by St Mirren, Motherwell and Livingston respectively, the bigger picture shows Hibernian have suffered just one more defeat out of their subsequent seven matches overall and includes wins against Aberdeen and St Johnstone as well.
Hibs have managed to capture just four wins from their last 11 games on home soil at Easter Road, while seven of these 11 home games have also produced goals for both teams.
Five of Hibernian's 10 matches this season to date have resulted in both teams scoring while score-draws have featured twice to date as well.
Ross County sit second from bottom of the domestic top flight table although the visitors do hold a useful five-point buffer above the bottom placed club, St Johnstone, prior to this upcoming encounter at Easter Road.
The visitors produced a reasonable start to this new Scottish Premiership season as they collected two wins in their opening four games of the new term which came in the form of victories against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock, but this has been as good as it has got so far for Ross county who have subsequently slumped to five games without a win in the Premiership.
Points picked up in draws with Livingston, Dundee and Motherwell have at least prevented Ross County from sliding further towards the bottom spot of the division but losses to Aberdeen and Hearts have overshadowed the three recent defeats and suggests the goals market may be the better option here.
In addition, two of Ross County's three draws so far this season have also seen both teams score, so this looks a fairly decent prospect for this upcoming clash.
Ross County have recorded just three away wins from their last 17 outings on the road, while nine of these 17 away games have also seen both teams score.
Hibernian v Ross County Verdict
