Roma slipped to yet another defeat in the Italian top flight last weekend when they were handed a disappointing 2-0 loss away from home at Como which also became a seventh loss in nine games for Sunday morning's hosts.

Parma also suffered a defeat last weekend in Serie A when they lost 3-2 at home to Verona, making it two defeats on the trot for the visitors who have now dropped down the Italian top flight table to 15th place ahead of this upcoming clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite picking up the odd win or two within their last nine games which came in the shape of rare successes against Torino and Lecce, it's been a miserable time of late for Roma who have been dealt three defeats of their seven losses on home soil at their Stadio Olimpico.

Losses at the hands of Inter Milan, Bologna and Atalanta have resulted in Roma dropping down the Serie A table to a disappointing 12th place where the hosts now find themselves a significant 12 points adrift of the top six in the division and only two points above the relegation zone.

Results on home soil have also been a mixed bag where Roma have been concerned as the hosts have managed to collect just five wins from their last 11 home games while six of these 11 games have also resulted in both teams scoring.

Parma will make their way to the Stadio Olimpico for this Sunday morning's encounter against Roma no doubt eager to avoid a third league defeat on the trot having recently slipped to back-to-back defeats at the hands of Inter Milan 3-1 and Verona 3-2 respectively.

League wins have been hard to come by for the visitors who have managed to muster just three victories throughout this season's Serie A campaign which have come in the form of wins against AC Milan, Venezia and Lazio respectively, but these rare highlights have been overshadowed by seven defeats within their 16 matches played to date.

In addition, Parma have managed to collect just one away win so far this season within their seven outings on the road whilst also being dealt four defeats, so the prospects of an away win here for Fabio Pecchia's side seem fairly unlikely.

However, the goals market looks an attractive proposition in this upcoming clash between Roma and Parma especially as 14 out of Parma's 16 games so far this season have resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net.

Roma have also conceded in each of their last six matches as well in Serie A.
