Genoa were dealt a 1-0 defeat away from home at Roma which meant the hosts still remain sitting in a mid-table position of 10th place in the Italian top flight table ahead of this final game of the season at home against Bologna at their Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, while Bologna confirmed a top five finish in this season's Serie A campaign and a place in next season's Champions League with a 3-3 draw at home with Juventus last weekend.
