Montpellier were handed a heavy and comprehensive 3-0 defeat away from home at PSG last time out in the French top flight which resulted in the hosts dropping down the Ligue 1 table to a disappointing 13th place in the table where they hold a slender one-point cushion above the relegation play-off spot, while Nice captured a fourth league win on the trot by recording a 2-0 home victory over Rennes last weekend.

Although Montpellier have captured recent wins against Lorient and Toulouse, these victories have not been enough to prevent Montpellier from sliding down the Ligue 1 table as the hosts have also suffered four defeats within their last eight matches overall, losing to the likes of Reims, Lille, Nantes and PSG, so the straight win market where Montpellier are concerned should be avoided for this upcoming fixture.

To underline this, Montpellier have managed to register just one win from their previous six games at their Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98 which came in the shape of a 3-0 victory over Toulouse but the goals markets look promising as six of Montpellier's last 10 home games have resulted in both teams scoring.
