Monaco captured a second away win on the trot last weekend in the French top flight when they recorded a 3-2 win away at Lens which followed a previous 3-2 win at Nice although the hosts did suffer a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Toulouse in between the two wins on the road, while PSG extended their impressive unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to an amazing 18 games which has helped the visitors to top spot in the table.

Monaco lifted themselves up into third spot with that win at Lens with the main priority being to nail down a Champions League spot for next season as this is the best that they can now hope for as Adi Hutter's side are still some 13 points behind their league leading visitors prior to this Friday night clash.

Friday night's hosts though have been unable to string any sort of winning momentum together so far in this Ligue 1 campaign as the best that they have managed was a three-game winning streak from towards the end of September through to mid-October which produced victories against the likes of Marseille, Reims and Metz respectively.

In addition, following a four-game winning streak at home, Monaco have since slipped to four games without a win at their Stade Louis-II, losing three of these four games.

PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Rennes last weekend in the French top flight action and although many would view that as two points dropped, Luis Enriques' side won't be too bothered by that as the Paris outfit still possess a commanding 11-point buffer between themselves and second placed Brest heading into this Friday night clash in Monaco.

Within their impressive looking 18-game unbeaten sequence in Ligue 1, PSG have collected no fewer than 14 wins in the process which makes them a decent bet to score at least once at the Stade Louis-II ground on Friday night, especially as PSG have won seven of their last eight outings on the road as well.

Indeed, PSG have failed to score just once out of their last 20 games on their travels so Luis Enriques' side should notch at least once against their recently hesitant hosts, although PSG's last visit to the municipality resulted in a heavy 3-1 loss in February of last year.

Despite PSG's obvious dominance over the rest of Ligue 1 once again in this French top flight campaign, previous exchanges between Monaco and PSG have resulted in honours shared in the last three meetings with both sides claiming one win each along with a 1-1 draw.
