Lille picked up another useful point in last weekend's Ligue 1 action with a 0-0 draw away from home at Marseille which also extended their unbeaten run in the French top flight to five games overall, and they now return to their Stade Pierre-Mauroy for this Sunday's clash with Toulouse who are fresh from a 3-2 midweek win against Liverpool in the Europa League.

Lille sit in fifth place in the Ligue 1 standings and recent wins against seventh placed Le Havre, sixth placed Brest and third placed Monaco should give the hosts plenty of confidence and belief heading into this Sunday's fixture at their Stade Pierre-Mauroy where Paulo Fonseca's side have won four of their opening five games on home soil.

The bigger picture shows Lille have stumbled to just two defeats so far this season in losses against Lorient and Reims but having also captured five wins overall so far this term, four of which being on home soil, Lille look a decent prospect to take all three points here against visitors, Toulouse.

Results and form on the domestic front though have suffered while Toulouse participate in the Europa League and fighting on two fronts has taken its toll on Carles Marinez's side as the visitors have not only failed to win any of their last four matches in Ligue 1, but they have also managed to capture only two wins in total from their opening 11 games of this new French top flight season.

An opening day win away from home at Nantes along with a 3-0 home win against Metz have been Toulouse's only real highlights in what has otherwise been a disappointing start to this Ligue 1 season and having also been dealt four defeats as well, the latter two being on the trot, Toulouse look to have their work cut out here.

Following that win at Nantes, Toulouse have since stumbled to five away games without a win and includes defeats at the hands of Strasbourg, Lens and Montpellier respectively.
