Brest were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw at home by Ligue 1 strugglers Nantes in last weekend's French top flight action but Friday night's hosts know they have the perfect opportunity to return to winning ways when lower half outfit Reims visit their Stade Francis-Le Blé on Friday night especially as the visitors have lost their last three league matches on the trot.

Brest currently sit in third spot in the Ligue 1 standings where they hold a slender two-point cushion over fourth placed Lille and a six-point margin over fifth placed Nice who are also in action on Friday night, so the hosts know they cannot afford to slip up against Reims on Friday night.

The wider picture shows Reims have struggled to put any sort of consistent string of results together in the domestic top flight as the visitors have managed to scrape together just two wins out of their last 13 matches overall in Ligue 1 which came in the form of victories against Le Havre and Metz both by 2-1 margins, but they have also been handed six defeats in the process as well within this period.

Three of Reims' aforementioned six defeats have been dealt out to Samba Diawarra's side on their travels with defeats at Lorient, Strasbourg and Clermont respectively, while the bigger picture shows Reims have registered just two wins in their last 10 outings on the road, slipping to six defeats within this period.
