Polish hosts, Jagiellonia Bialystok, will be desperate to avoid a fourth defeat on the trot when they entertain Dutch giants Ajax at their Stadion Miejski following a 4-2 loss at home to Cracovia in the Polish Ektraklasa, while Ajax also tasted defeat on the weekend when they were handed a 2-1 loss on the road at NAC Breda in the Dutch top flight which put an end to a previously impressive nine-match winning streak in all competitions.

Recent defeats at the hands of Norwegian hosts Bodo/Glimt in home and away losses 1-0 and 4-1 resulted in a heavy 5-1 defeat on aggregate in the Champions League along with the aforementioned 4-2 loss at home to Cracovia suggest the Polish hosts may well struggle to compete against the obvious quality of their Dutch visitors despite holding home advantage at their Stadion Miejski.
