Brighton switch their attention to the European stage for Thursday night's tussle with Dutch giants, Ajax, when the two teams face off at the AMEX Stadium with the hosts desperately looking to halt a winless run of five matches in all competitions while Ajax will head into this Matchday 3 having recently parted ways with their manager after a poor start to their season.

Three defeats and two draws has been as good as it has got for Brighton in recent weeks as The Seagulls have suffered defeats in the Premier League to Aston Villa and Manchester City in 6-1 and 2-1 losses along with a 1-0 defeat away from home at Chelsea in the League Cup.

Ajax still remain unbeaten though in their opening two games of the group stage of the Europa League thanks to points picked up in draws with Marseille 3-3 and a 1-1 draw away from home at AEK Athens, so they may feel they have a decent chance of getting something out of this trip to the south coast of England on Thursday night.

However, Ajax have lost five of these last eight matches so the prospects of an away win here at the AMEX Stadium seem pretty slim, although the goals market where both Brighton and Ajax are concerned look promising.
