French outfit, Nice, earned what could prove to be a valuable 2-2 draw in last week's 1st leg clash of this European Conference League quarter-final away from home at Basel and the hosts will now be looking to make home advantage count when they play host to their Swiss opponents on Thursday night.

Despite losing two of their last three games following defeats in the French top flight to PSG and Brest in Ligue 1, Nice will still be confident that they can finish the job at their Allianz Riviera on Thursday night as these have been Nice's only slip-ups in their previous 17 matches in all competitions.

Both defeats came in the form of losses to the Swiss giants, Young Boys, whom they succumbed to in the Swiss Super League and also the Schweizer Pokal domestic cup competition but the visitors have posted some inconsistent results away from home this season.

Having been held to a 2-2 at home by Nice last week, it now falls upon Basel's ability to pick up a result on their travels and this is where the Swiss visitors may come a cropper as they have collected just seven wins out of their last 21 outings on the road in all competitions.

Switch to results in the Europa Conference League and you'll find that Basel have managed to record just three wins from their nine outings on their travels to date in this competition and this could hold back the visitors on Thursday night.

Nice have been reasonably consistent at home in all competitions this season and the French hosts are now heavily fancied to finish the job in their own backyard against a Basel outfit who have tended to struggle a little away from their St Jakobs Park venue.

These two clubs met for the first time in any competition last week but it should be Nice that get over the line here in this 2nd leg.
