Wolves vs Everton Preview

Wolves slipped to a sixth defeat in eight games overall last time out in the Premier League as the west midlands club were dealt a disappointing 2-1 loss at home by Fulham but Vítor Pereira's side have another opportunity to redeem themselves at Molineux on Saturday evening when they play host to Everton.

Everton extended their unbeaten run in the English top flight to seven games overall in their previous game when The Toffees picked up a useful point in a 1-1 draw away from home at Brentford and although the merseyside club dropped down to 16th place in the Premier League table, David Moyes' side now possess a commanding 15-point cushion between themselves and the bottom three clubs.

Despite picking up recent wins in the top flight against the likes of Aston Villa and Bournemouth, the west midlands hosts have also slumped to six defeats as well in recent weeks, thus throwing a fair amount of doubt over whether they can bounce back with a win on Saturday evening.

The bigger picture shows Wolves have managed to collect just four wins from their last 15 league matches overall which includes earlier wins against Leicester City and Manchester United, but also consists of being handed no fewer than 10 defeats as well.

Results on home soil at Molineux have been sketchy to say the least though, as Wolves have registered just four wins from their last 18 home games in the English top flight whilst slipping to 13 losses.

Everton have certainly produced a turnaround in fortunes since the arrival of former manager David Moyes who is now in his second stint in charge of The Toffees as the visitors are unbeaten in each of their last seven games overall in the Premier League.

Everton had previously managed to claim just one win from their preceding 12 games in the domestic top flight which contained the singular success of recording a rousing 4-0 home win against Saturday's upcoming opponents, Wolves, at Goodison Park, but this poor run of results ultimately cost former boss, Sean Dyche, his job.

However, fast-forward to current times and Everton have recorded four wins from their last seven games which includes picking up important victories at the expense of Tottenham, Brighton, Leicester City and Crystal Palace respectively, which should give the visitors plenty of confidence ahead of this upcoming trip to the west midlands.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last three away games but goals could be in short supply though as nine out of Everton's 13 away games to date have resulted in Under 2.5 goals.
