The other afternoon game in the Premier League this Saturday features this relegation ‘six-pointer' between the basement dwellers and hosts Sheffield United and their second from bottom visitors Burnley when the two teams go head-to-head at Bramall Lane with a precious three points at stake for both sides in what is expected to be a tense affair.

Following a rare 1-0 win away from home against Luton Town back in mid-February, Sheffield United's winless run in the Premier League was extended to eight games after being handed a 2-0 defeat on the road at Brentford last weekend and The Blades now trail fourth from bottom Nottingham Forest and safety by a significant 10-point margin ahead of this weekend's action.

Five defeats within these last eight games overall have resulted in Sheffield United slipping to damaging losses at the hands of Brighton, Wolves, Arsenal, Liverpool and Brentford respectively and has meant that Chris Wilder's side remain bottom of the table with games running out fast.

Burnley haven't fared much better though as the Lancashire visitors have also managed to claim just the one win from their previous 15 matches overall in the Premier League but the away side have at least picked up some useful points in recent weeks by way of draws with West Ham, Chelsea, Wolves and Brighton along with a desperately needed 2-1 home win against Brentford as well.

Nevertheless, The Clarets still find themselves six points adrift of fourth from bottom Forest but Vincent Kompany's side know that if they can pick up all three points at Bramall Lane this Saturday that would hand Burnley a much needed lifeline in their bid to escape the drop.

Prior to their recent mini revival, Burnley had failed to win any of their preceding nine games overall in the English top flight which consisted of seven defeats and just two draws, but the visitors have since succumbed to just one further loss in their last six games which gives them a chance of a result here this Saturday.

Both Sheffield United and Burnley have managed to capture just two wins at home and on the road respectively so this upcoming encounter at Bramall Lane is expected to be a tense and low-scoring affair with neither side wanting to contemplate defeat.

However, Burnley have come out on top in recent exchanges, winning four out of the last six meetings and the visitors might just sneak a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday too.
