Nottingham Forest were unable to build upon their recent impressive 2-0 home win against Aston Villa when they were handed a 3-2 defeat away from home at West Ham as they headed into the international break on the back of a third defeat in their last seven matches overall in the Premier League, while Brighton were involved in a third draw on the trot as they shared the points in a 1-1 draw at home with Sheffield United.

That 2-0 home win against Villa though has been Nottingham Forest's only success in an otherwise lean period of results in the English top flight as Forest have managed to capture just one win from their previous eight games overall, slipping to three defeats in the process, while five of their last 10 matches overall have resulted in both teams scoring.

Losses to Manchester City, Liverpool and West Ham have contributed to Nottingham Forest's decline down the Premier League table to 14th place in the standings but it should be noted that each of these three defeats were inflicted upon Steve Cooper's side on their travels.
