Nottingham Forest and Brentford both find themselves sitting in mid-table positions in the Premier League table ahead of Sunday's encounter at the City Ground where the two sides will lock horns with only one point separating them after producing mixed starts to their respective Premier League campaigns.

Brentford's only highlight in the domestic top flight to date came in the shape of a 3-0 win away from home at London rivals, Fulham, but although Thomas Frank's side have picked up useful points in draws with Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, all of which were achieved at home, The Bees have also slipped to two defeats on the trot in subsequent matches.

Losses to Newcastle United and a disappointing 3-1 loss at home to Everton have perhaps shown a slightly vulnerable side to Brentford as they continue to operate without the services of their suspended striker, Ivan Toney, as the visitors have scored just nine goals in their opening six games of the season.

Interestingly, at the same stage of last season, Brentford had already plundered a total of 15 goals to their name and this perhaps indicates a potential lack of goals for this upcoming clash with Nottingham Forest.
