Manchester United will be keen to return to winning ways when they return to the home surroundings of Old Trafford following last weekend's 2-0 loss away from home at Tottenham while Nottingham Forest will be looking to build upon their Friday night win against Sheffield United.

Manchester United can consider themselves extremely lucky to have captured all three points in their opening game of the season at home against Wolves as their 1-0 win was by no means a fair reflection of the game overall.

United were outplayed by Wolves for the majority of the game and the visitors also had valid claims for a penalty turned down but the hosts managed to hold out to take the three points and a scrappy home win into the bargain.

However, Manchester United's luck ran out in a 2-0 loss away from home at Tottenham last Saturday but it is worth noting that the Red Devils have won five of their last six games in the Premier League with wins against Wolves (twice), Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham, while their last meeting against Nottingham Forest resulted in a 2-0 win for Erik ten Hag's side at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest have produced a mixed bag of results to date in this season's Premier League campaign as the Tricky Trees began the new term with a 2-1 defeat away from home at Arsenal but they quickly recovered by recording a welcome 2-1 home win against newly promoted, Sheffield United last weekend.

It perhaps comes as no surprise that Forest bounced back with a home win as they produced a solid record last season at the City Ground, losing on just five occasions throughout the whole of last season's top flight campaign but the same can't be said for their poor record away from home.

Nottingham Forest finished last term with the worst away record in the division and this was underlined by the fact that the east midlands visitors had managed to capture just one away win all season, which came in the form of a 1-0 win at Southampton back in early January.

Since that rare win on the road though, Forest have capitulated on their travels as they have now failed to win any of their previous 11 outings away from home and this includes slipping to eight defeats in the process as well which does not bode well for this upcoming trip to Old Trafford.

Manchester United may well be licking their lips at the prospect of this visit from Nottingham Forest as not only have the visitors managed just one away win in their last 20 outings but United have also won each of the last nine meetings against the not so Tricky Trees.
