Everton picked up another useful point in a 0-0 draw away from home at West Ham just before the international break to give The Toffees a three-point cushion above the relegation zone in the Premier League table, while Brentford bounced back with a 3-2 home win against Bournemouth before the break.

Following a worrying start to this Premier League season's campaign where Sean Dyche's side slipped to four defeats on the trot, twice throwing away leads when ahead, the merseyside club have since tightened things up and Everton have now lost just once in their subsequent seven games overall.

However, results away from home have been a disaster for Brentford manager Thomas Frank and his side as the London club have been handed defeats in each of their five outings on the road so far this season.

Losses away from home at Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham have prevented Brentford from lifting themselves higher up the Premier League table than their current league position of 11th place, and the visitors face another tricky outing up on merseyside on Saturday afternoon.
