Another all-London clash in the Premier League will be played out in Saturday's lunchtime clash between Chelsea and Brentford at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches while Brentford will be eager to build upon their recent 3-0 home win against Burnley.

Chelsea picked up a point in a 2-2 draw at home with London rivals, Arsenal, last weekend but it could have been an even better outcome for Mauricio Pochettino's side as they led The Gunners 2-0 with less than 15 minutes remaining on the clock and Pochettino and his players alike must still be scratching their heads as to how on earth they didn't win the match.

Nevertheless, it's now three games without a loss for Chelsea which, given recent circumstances and their horrific season last term, is a positive in itself and having registered recent victories against Brighton in the League Cup along with previous back-to-back wins against Fulham and Burnley, both of which were away from home, Chelsea will be confident they can go one step better this Saturday lunchtime and grab all three points.

Chelsea know they must improve upon a poor record of results at home though, having managed to capture just one win from their previous 12 games at Stamford Bridge.

Brentford returned to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend when they recorded a resounding 3-0 home win against third from bottom club, Burnley, which put an end to a previously worrying six-match winless sequence in the English top flight, so they too will be feeling fairly upbeat about their chances in this early kick-off on Saturday.

Brentford had previously been held to three draws but also handed three defeats in their preceding six games overall but although The Bees had suffered defeats at the hands of Newcastle United, Everton and Manchester United, the visitors had also picked up points in draws with Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest.

These draws have kept Brentford out of trouble for the time being as they occupy 14th place in the Premier League table where they possess a comfortable six-point cushion above the bottom three but they will be up against a seemingly rejuvenated Chelsea outfit this Saturday who look to be starting to build momentum under Maurico Pochettino.

Brentford have had the upper hand over The Blues in recent times, winning two of the previous three meetings but it should be noted that Chelsea were in a period of transition having briefly flirted with manager, Thomas Tuchel and two separate stints with Frank Lampard at the helm.

Chelsea are now beginning to turn a corner under Pochettino and the hosts perhaps look the more likely for the three points here.
