Brighton had also produced an unbeaten start to this new Premier League season until last weekend when The Seagulls suffered a 4-2 defeat away from home at Chelsea, while Tottenham made it back-to-back wins in the English top flight in last weekend's 3-0 humiliation of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Just two wins but also four defeats within their last eight home games in the Premier League suggests Brighton could have their work cut out here this Sunday. Tottenham made it two wins on the trot in the English top flight for the first time since early March of last season when Spurs registered a resounding 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford as Ange Postecoglou's side simply outplayed the Red Devils.

Spurs had previously accounted for Brentford in a 3-1 home win at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but results overall in the early stages of this new Premier League season have been something of a mixed bag for the north London club as they have picked up three wins but have slipped to two defeats as well.

A 4-0 romp at home over Everton at the start of the season was overshadowed by back-to-back losses at the hands of Newcastle United and Arsenal but the visitors stand a decent chance of making it three league wins on the trot when they make their way down to the south coast this Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham have not been without problems of their own though as the visitors have captured just five wins within their previous 13 league matches overall, but their recent victories in the domestic top flight along with the midweek 2-1 win away at Ferencvaros in the Europa League will set them up nicely this weekend.
