Premier League, played Saturday, October 21st, 2023
Here is our Bournemouth v Wolves tip and game preview. Based on our detailed analysis of statistics listed below and other factors, we predicted both teams to not score in this game, under 2.5 goals, and a Wolves away win. Our confidence in this tip was high relative to other tips.
Down on the south coast, Bournemouth will play host to Wolves at their Vitality Stadium as these two lower half placed sides battle it out for an important three points, especially in Bournemouth's case as The Cherries have still yet to register their first league win of this new season, while Wolves manager, Gary O'Neil, will no doubt be eager to get one over his former club with a win here.
Bournemouth parted ways with former boss, Gary O'Neil, at the end of last season but not before O'Neil had helped guide the south coast club to Premier League safety and although the hosts had slipped to four defeats to end last season's campaign, four wins out of their preceding five games proved to be enough to confirm their top flight status for another season.
The Cherries appointed Spanish manager, Andoni Iraola, to replace O'Neil but the Spaniard has experienced the harsh realities of the Premier League at first hand as his side sit second from bottom in the table and yet to win a game, whilst also being handed five defeats within their opening eight games of this new term.
The bigger picture shows Bournemouth have now failed to win any of their last 12 league matches and have slumped to nine losses in the process.
Wolves also made a slow and disappointing start to this new English top flight season as the west midlands club had managed to capture just the one win in their opening five games of the new campaign but Gary O'Neil's side have since staged a mini recovery which has seen Wolves put together an improved three-match unbeaten run.
Points picked up in draws with Luton Town and Aston Villa have been either side of an impressive but nevertheless totally unexpected 2-1 home win against the current title holders, Manchester City, so the visitors may well fancy their chances of claiming another three points down on the south coast on Saturday afternoon.
Wolves have picked up one win away from home so far this season which came in the form of a 1-0 victory at Everton and the west midlands outfit will be eager to pick up where they left off just before the international break this Saturday.
Bournemouth v Wolves Verdict
In truth, neither Bournemouth or Wolves can lay claims to setting this new season alight though and with just two wins in total between these two clubs so far this term, we may need to look elsewhere for value.
The goals market however, does appeal for this forthcoming fixture at the Vitality Stadium as five out of the previous six meetings between Bournemouth and Wolves have produced low-scoring encounters and indeed have resulted in Under 2.5 goals, and this Saturday may see this trend continue.
Therefore, our main bet will be Under 2.5 goals @ 2.00
Other side bets worth considering:
Wolves win @ 3.00
Correct score: Wolves 1-0 @ 12.00
