Bournemouth returned to winning ways in the Premier League in midweek as The Cherries recovered from two defeats in their last three games by recording a welcome 1-0 win away from home at Wolves, while Brighton were dealt a heavy and comprehensive 4-0 rout at the hands of Manchester City at their AMEX Stadium so this upcoming trip along the south coast to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon could be a tricky one.

Bournemouth have now moved up into a mid-table position of 10th place in the Premier League table thanks to that midweek win in the west midlands and although Andoni Iraola's side had previously slipped to defeats to the likes of Luton Town and Aston Villa, it should be noted that both of these recent losses were incurred on their travels.

Prior to those defeats, Bournemouth had chalked up three home wins on the trot at their Vitality Stadium with important wins against Luton Town, Everton and Crystal Palace respectively while form and results overall on home soil in recent times have seen the south coast side put in some impressive displays.

The bigger picture shows Bournemouth have suffered just two defeats in their last 12 home games (Liverpool and Manchester City) which is no disgrace but The Cherries have also picked up six wins during this period as well.

Brighton's recent poor run of results in the Premier League continued in midweek as The Seagulls were dealt a heavy 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City which also extended Brighton's winless run in the English top flight to five games overall.

Within this recent slump, Brighton have been handed three defeats that have come in the form of losses to the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City which are understandable but nevertheless doesn't bode well for this upcoming visit to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Brighton's recent mini slump has resulted in Roberto de Zerbi's side to drop down the Premier League table to a disappointing 11th place in the standings while the bigger picture shows the visitors have managed to capture just three wins out of their previous 14 games overall.

Two of these three wins were registered on home soil at their AMEX Stadium with victories over rivals Crystal Palace as well as Nottingham Forest but it has been Brighton's poor form on the road that has done the damage in recent months as The Seagulls have picked up just one win in their last 11 outings on their travels.
