Aston Villa will be going in search of a fifth win in six games in the Premier League when the west midlands club plays host to lowly Luton Town at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon and having recorded a comprehensive 4-1 rout of West Ham last weekend, Unai Emery's side will be in confident mood for this clash, while Luton Town rescued a point with a late equaliser against Nottingham Forest.

The resounding win against West Ham has helped lift Aston Villa up into fifth place in the Premier League table but even better news may be in store for the hosts as they could be sitting in second spot if they take all three points against The Hatters and other results go their way.

This indeed is a dramatic transformation from a year ago when former manager, Steven Gerrard, was being booed from the terraces but Villa are now enjoying a positive turnaround in fortunes following additional previous wins against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Brighton respectively.

The Hatters look to have their work cut out though at Villa Park especially as the visitors have managed to capture just the one win so far in this season's Premier League campaign which came in the form of a 2-1 win away from home at Everton, but having also slipped to six defeats within their opening nine games as well, the prospects do not look good for Rob Edwards' side here on Sunday afternoon.
