Watford vs Plymouth Preview

Both Watford and Plymouth Argyle registered victories in last weekend's season openers in the Championship with wins against QPR and Huddersfield Town respectively, and these two sides will go head-to-head at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

Watford secured all three points with a resounding 4-0 victory against QPR on home soil at Vicarage Road and The Hornets will hold home advantage once again this Saturday where they'll be looking to pick up a third league win on the trot after ending last term with a 2-0 win against Stoke City.

Victories at Exeter City, Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale in League One, along with pre-season friendly wins at Plymouth Parkway and Blackpool will give Steven Schumacher's side plenty of confidence to tackle Watford in their own backyard on Saturday afternoon.

Having also won six of their last eight matches on their travels as well, Plymouth Argyle arguably possess the greater momentum heading into this upcoming clash at Vicarage Road and this could prove to be a favourable advantage for the visitors as they seek a second win on the trot.
