Leeds United now return to the familiar surroundings of their Elland Road ground for Thursday night's Championship play-off semi-final 2nd leg against Norwich City with the Yorkshire club looking to put this tie to bed and progress through to the play-off final where they'll meet the winners of either West Brom or Southampton, following the recent 0-0 draw away from home against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Previous results in the regular Championship season had suggested an automatic promotion spot for Daniel Farke's side looked to be on the cards as The Whites had put together a solid and impressive 15-game unbeaten run in the English second tier which consisted of no fewer than 13 wins and just two draws.

Norwich City were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw at home by Thursday night's semi-final opponents Leeds United which also became a fourth stalemate in six games for The Canaries following previous draws with Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Swansea City and of course, Leeds United.

The Canaries were also dealt a 1-0 defeat away from home at Birmingham City on the final day of the regular season in what was a particularly poor display by David Wagner's side as the Norfolk outfit offered very little in the final third of the pitch against an eventually relegated Birmingham City side.

The bigger picture will give Norwich City some hope though ahead of this tough looking return leg at Elland Road on Thursday night as The Canaries have been dealt just three defeats out of their last 18 matches overall whilst picking up a total of nine wins within this period as well.

That said, Norwich City look to have their work cut out for this 2nd leg as the visitors have managed to record just three wins from their last 13 outings on the road and this could come back to bite them here.
