After a slow start which saw Medellin pick up just one point from their opening two games in the group, drawing 1-1 at home with Internacional before falling foul of a 2-1 loss away at Nacional, the Colombians have since clicked into gear in impressive fashion.

A 4-2 home win over Metropolitanos was followed by a 2-1 victory over Nacional which has helped Medellin into serious contention for a place in the knockout round, so there's plenty of incentive for the visitors to go for all three points at the Estadio Olímpico de la UCV on Thursday night.

Medellin possess a vast amount of experience at Copa Libertadores compared to that of their hosts, and the visitors have lost just once in their last 10 matches at this level, picking up a total of six wins in the process, so they look set for further success here as well.
