It's been a mixed start to this Copa America group campaign for both Mexico and Ecuador as both nations have won and lost in their opening two games and it now comes down to a straight shoot-out between these two sides to determine who will go through with the likely candidate Venezuela, into the knockout rounds when they face off at the State Farm Stadium on matchday 3.

Mexico started their Copa America campaign off in bright fashion as Jaime Lozano's side registered a 1-0 win against Jamaica on matchday 1 to get El Tri off to a great start but a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of an improving Venezuela outfit on matchday 2 means they head into this final group game needing all three points to make sure of a place in the quarter-finals.

Although Ecuador have experienced a flurry of losses in recent times following defeats against Italy and Argentina in international friendlies along with the opening loss to Venezuela, La Tricolor have also registered wins in friendlies against Bolivia and Honduras, along with a recent Copa America win against Jamaica as well.

The bigger picture shows Ecuador have lost just three of their last 12 matches overall in all competitions which also includes collecting seven wins in the process as well, so Felix Sanchez's side will also fancy their chances of producing a positive result here and one that could take them through to the quarter-finals.

Both Mexico and Ecuador are expected to go for it in this final game of Group B as both nations know that all three points in this upcoming tussle would send the winner through to the knockout rounds and therefore we could see a few goals unfold here at the State Farm Stadium.
