Current World Cup and Copa America holders, Argentina, will open this Copa America which is hosted by USA at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium where they'll meet Canada who will be participating in their first ever Copa America tournament with mixed feelings following a disappointing showing in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Canada therefore face an extremely tough opening game in their first ever Copa America tournament and needless to say Jesse Marsch's side will be looking to improve upon their last appearance in the World Cup in Qatar which resulted in defeats in each of their Group F games.

Losses at the hands of Morocco, Croatia and Belgium meant that Canada were one of only two nations (along with host nation Qatar) that failed to earn a single point, scoring just two goals but conceding a total of seven in reply.
