In the other opening fixture in Group B on Wednesday night, Spanish hosts, Sevilla, will entertain their French counterparts, Lens, at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán with both teams fancying their chances of producing a winning start to this new Champions League campaign.

Sevilla finally got themselves off the mark with a win in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday when they registered a welcome and much-needed 1-0 home win against Las Palmas which also put an end to a previously worrying sequence of five matches without a win in all competitions.

Four defeats within the preceding five games had seen Sevilla handed defeats in the Spanish domestic top flight to the likes of Valencia, Deportivo Alaves and Girona respectively along with a UEFA Super Cup loss on penalties to Manchester City at the start of this season.

However, despite collecting just three wins out of their last 10 matches in all competitions, the goals market appeals in this upcoming fixture with Lens as no fewer than eight of Sevilla's last 10 games have resulted in both teams scoring and Wednesday night's clash could be no exception.

Lens have fared even worse than their Spanish hosts though as Lens have produced a wretched start to their new season as the hosts have failed to win any of their last eight matches overall in all competitions.

A thoroughly disappointing 1-0 defeat home to Metz in Ligue 1 on the weekend became a fifth defeat in six matches for the French visitors as early form in the domestic top flight has seemingly eluded them in the first few weeks of this new season.

Defeats to Brest, PSG, Monaco and Metz have handed Lens a difficult start to this new campaign and they now face a tricky trip to Spain on Wednesday night where they'll hit the road again for this opening fixture in Group B against Sevilla.

This is only the second campaign in the Champions League for Lens who last appeared in this competition way back in 2002 where they recorded just two wins in their six group matches but it's worth noting that each of these six games also resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net.

The goals market also looks strong where Lens are concerned as seven of Lens' last 10 away games in all competitions have also seen both teams score.
