Latvian hosts, Rigas, face an uphill battle to remain in the qualifying stages of this season's Champions League after being handed a heavy and comprehensive 4-0 defeat against their Norwegian counterparts, Bodo/Glimt, following last week's rout at the Aspmyra Stadion, but Rigas did manage to bounce back with a win on the weekend in the domestic top flight, while Bodo/Glimt picked up a point at KFUM Oslo.

Rigas recorded an emphatic win of their own on the weekend in the Latvian Virsliga with a 4-1 win away from home at Tukums to make it eight wins from their last nine games but the one loss that the hosts have suffered came in last week's defeat at the hands of Bodo/Glimt and Viktors Morozs' side now face a mountain to climb if they're to get the better of their Norwegian visitors.

Rigas had previously registered a comprehensive 7-0 win on aggregate against Irish side Larne in the 1st qualifying round of the Champions League but this could be where the hosts' involvement in this competition comes to an end, despite winning 11 of their last 12 home games.

Goals looks set to feature again here though, as no fewer than 11 of Rigas' last 12 home games in all competitions have resulted in Over 2.5 goals.

Bodo/Glimt look to be firmly in the driving seat ahead of this 2nd leg tie of their Champions League 2nd qualifying round fixture with Rigas, despite being on the road for this return leg at the LNK Sporta Parks.

A resounding 4-0 victory in Norway last week has now placed the visitors in pole position to progress through to the 3rd qualifying round of this competition and having lost just once in their last nine matches overall, Kjetil Knutsen's side look the favourites to come out on top once again on Wednesday night.
