Club Brugge were held to a 1-1 draw away from home at Gent in the Belgian top flight on the weekend but the Belgian hosts now return to their Jan Breydelstadion on Tuesday night for this upcoming 1st leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Premier League side Aston Villa.

Aston Villa secured a 2-0 home win against Championship club Cardiff City at Villa Park in the 5th round of the FA Cup on Saturday to progress through to the quarter-finals of the domestic cup competition, but now Villa have to navigate a two-legged quarter-final clash against Belgian outfit Club Brugge.

Club Brugge have picked up recent wins against OH Leuven and Atalanta, the latter being wins both home and away in the Champions League play-offs which will give Nicky Hayen's side a welcome boost as the hosts prepare to battle their way into a possible semi-final place.
