Aston Villa's disappointing winless run in all competitions continued on the weekend in the Premier League when the west midlands club had to make do with just a point after being held to a 2-2 draw at home by lowly Crystal Palace, while Juventus were also involved in a draw in the Italian top flight following a 0-0 stalemate away from home at AC Milan.

It's now become six games without a win for Unai Emery's side as Villa have drawn twice but also slumped to four defeats within this period which does not appear to bode well for this upcoming Champions League tie against Italian Serie A opponents, Juventus, on Wednesday night.

The bigger picture shows Juventus have slipped to just one defeat within their previous 17 matches overall in all competitions, which came in the shape of a 1-0 loss at home to German club Stuttgart, but having also picked up important victories against the likes of PSV and RB Leipzig in 3-1 and 3-2 wins respectively, the Italian visitors will fancy their chances of gaining a result of some sort at Villa Park on Wednesday night.

However, Juventus have struggled in terms of actual wins at Champions League level for some time now as the visitors have collected just three victories from their previous 12 ties overall along with being dealt no fewer than seven defeats within this period as well.

Three of these seven defeats in the Champions League have also been inflicted upon Thiago Motta's side on their travels.
