Santos take on Flamengo in Sunday evening's clash at the Estádio Urbano Caldeira with the hosts looking to put an end to their five-match winless run in the Brazilian top flight, drawing three and losing two, while Flamengo also tasted defeat in their last outing when they were dealt a heavy 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Bragantino in midweek.

Santos' recent run of games without a win has resulted in the hosts remaining in 13th place in the Serie A standings but they're still only a point behind the top 12 clubs and a possible place in the Copa Sudamericana next season, so there's still plenty to play for ahead of Sunday's clash.

Despite that loss at Bragantino, Flamengo still occupy a place in the top four of the Serie A standings but the visitors know they can't afford to slip to another loss this Sunday when they make their way to the Estádio Urbano Caldeira but this may be easier said than done as results on the road have been questionable in recent times.

Flamengo have earned just two wins out of their last seven trips on the road and having lost four of these seven to the likes of Coritiba, Internacional, Athletico PR and Bragantino, the goals market may appeal here as five of Flamengo's last seven away games have resulted in both teams scoring.
