The Brazilian top flight action continues this weekend and Saturday afternoon features this upcoming clash between the bottom of the table outfit, Coritiba, and 12th placed visitors, Santos, at the Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira with the hosts still in search of recording their first league win of this Serie A campaign.

Coritiba have picked up just three points from a possible 27 to date this season thanks to three draws with Sao Paulo, Vasco da Gama and Cuiaba while also being dealt six defeats already this term which has consigned Coritiba to the bottom of the Serie A table and five points adrift of safety.

If they're to do so though, Santos will have to produce a better performance on the road than previous efforts this season as they have lost three of their opening four away games this term, suffering losses at Gremio, Cruzeiro and Bragantino.

Coritiba have struggled for results in the Brazilian Serie A for some time and they could be facing a long and arduous battle against relegation this season unless they can start putting some results together.

Santos have also struggled away from home in the early stages of this season but the visitors have won six of the previous eight meetings against Coritiba and Odair Hellman's side could sneak perhaps a narrow 1-0 victory here on Sunday.
