Netherlands were handed a 2-1 defeat by England last time out on the international scene in the recent Euro 2024 semi-finals which wasn't helped by controversial circumstances and a highly questionable penalty given against the Dutch, while Bosnia-Herzegovina were handed yet another defeat in early June when they suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home at Italy which became a sixth loss on the trot for the visitors.

Netherlands produced an indifferent start to their Euro 2024 finals campaign as the Dutch won, drew and lost in equal measure, picking up four points in the process; an opening 2-1 win against Poland saw Oranje off to a winning start but although they gained a creditable point by way of a 0-0 draw with France, a disappointing 3-2 loss to Austria in their final group game meant the Netherlands had to sweat it out for confirmation that their third place finish in Group D was enough.

A highly contentious penalty decision denied possible victory but the hosts still look well placed for a positive start here as they have lost just twice in their last 13 matches overall, picking up nine wins in the process.

Bosnia-Herzegovina look to have their work cut out ahead of this upcoming trip to face Netherlands at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven as the visitors are currently having to endure a miserable stretch of results on the international stage.

Sergej Barbarez's side have lost each of their last six internationals in all competitions which includes losing four on the trot in the European Championship qualifiers at the hands of Portugal 5-0, Luxembourg 4-1, Slovakia 2-1 and Ukraine 2-1, while also slipping to defeats in international friendlies to England 3-0 and Italy 1-0 respectively.

The omens therefore do not look promising for Bosnia-Herzegovina who have managed to capture just two wins in their previous 12 matches overall which came in the form of rare wins against Liechtenstein 2-1 and 2-0 in home and away wins, while also being handed no fewer than 10 defeats within this period as well.
