Montenegro slumped to a fifth defeat on the trot in Group 4 in League B of this Nations League competition over the weekend when the upcoming hosts were dealt a 2-0 loss at home to Iceland, while the Group 4 leaders Turkey were held to a 0-0 draw away from home at Wales but the visitors still hold a two-point lead at the top of the table.

Montenegro effectively waved goodbye to any hopes of a possible top two finish in Group 4 a few games ago as the hosts started their Nations League campaign in dismal fashion, losing their opening two games on the trot with defeats incurred against Iceland and Wales in early September.

Worse was to come for Robert Prosinecki's side as Montenegro slipped to a further three defeats following losses at the hands of Turkey 1-0, Wales 1-0 and Iceland 2-0 respectively which have placed the hosts rock bottom of the Group 4 table without a single point to their name.

Turkey possess a two-point cushion at the top of the Group 4 table over second placed Wales but the visitors still have a job to do at the Stadion Kraj Bistrice on Tuesday night if they are to confirm automatic promotion up to League A.

Two 0-0 stalemates against second placed Wales have prevented Turkey from already sealing promotion from League B despite picking up three wins on the trot in between the draws with victories gained over Iceland home and away 3-1 and 4-2 respectively, along with a narrow 1-0 home win over Montenegro in between.

Therefore, we can expect a highly motivated Turkey outfit to take to the field at the Stadion Kraj Bistrice in Nikšic on Tuesday night especially as Vincenzo Montella's side have been dealt just the single defeat within their previous eight internationals in all competitions.

Five wins within these previous eight games should give Turkey plenty of confidence and belief that they can get the job done here in Montenegro on Tuesday night as the visitors look to close in on promotion.
