Kosovo will be relieved to be returning to the home surroundings of their Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri for Friday night's clash against Romania after being handed back-to-back defeats on their travels, the latter being a heavy 3-0 loss at Norway, while Romania were also dealt a 3-0 defeat against Netherlands last time out in the Euro 2024 finals when the visitors reached the round of last 16.

Kosovo have lost their last two games and three of their last four internationals after previously losing to the likes of Belarus and Hungary while the bigger picture shows Franco Foda's side have managed to capture just three wins in their last 15 games in all competitions which came in the form of wins against Andorra, Israel and Armenia respectively.

However, although Kosovo have picked up these three wins, the upcoming hosts have also been handed five defeats within this period along with being involved in no fewer than seven draws within these previous 15 internationals.

The prospects of a home win therefore look fairly slim but the goals market appeals here as seven of these 15 games overall have resulted in both teams scoring, while six of Kosovo's last 10 home games have also seen both teams hitting the back of the net as well.

By contrast, Romania produced an encouraging campaign in the recent Euro 2024 finals as the Tricolorii not only progressed out of Group F which contained the likes of Belgium, Slovakia and Ukraine, but they also reached the knockout rounds of the competition as well.

A resounding 3-0 win against Ukraine in their opening game of the group stage handed Romania the perfect start to their campaign but the Romanians were pegged back by a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Belgium along with being held to a 1-1 draw by Slovakia.

Nevertheless, four points and four goals proved to be enough to see Romania qualify for the knockout stage of the competition but a heavy 3-0 loss to Netherlands in the round of last 16 ended their quest to go deep in the tournament.

Confidence is expected to remain high though amongst the Romanian camp as the visitors have suffered just three defeats in their last 19 internationals whilst collecting eight wins in the process; goals may also feature as five of Romania's last 10 outings on the road have resulted in both teams scoring as well.
