France were dealt a huge blow in their opening game of their UEFA Nations League campaign as Les Bleus suffered a heavy 3-1 loss at home to Italy, leaving Tuesday night's upcoming hosts bottom of Group 2, while Belgium registered a comprehensive 3-1 home win against Israel in their opening game, so both sides will have differing reasons to register a positive result here on Tuesday night at the Groupama Stadium.

Following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Spain in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 finals, this now makes it two losses on the trot for France who now need a result against their neighbouring rivals Belgium in order to stay in the race for a possible place in the finals stage.
