Servette picked up where they left off at the end of the last campaign as they opened their account in the Swiss Super League with a 2-1 win away from home at Luzern on the opening day of the season last weekend which also became a fifth win in six games for the hosts, while Young Boys slipped up at home, losing 2-1 to Sion at their Stadion Wankdorf which became a third loss in five games overall for the visitors.

Servette finished last season's Swiss top flight campaign on a high note following a 2-0 win away from home at Lugano which helped secure a third place finish in the Championship Round group after the Swiss top flight division was split into the two groups.

Results overall though where Servette have been concerned have been pretty inconsistent as Thomas Haberli's side have managed to capture just four wins in their last 12 matches overall while also being handed six defeats in the process, and only two of these four wins were actually achieved on home soil at their Stade de Genève.

Young Boys enjoyed a successful campaign last season in the Swiss top flight as Patrick Rahmen's side finished 12 points clear over runners-up Lugano at the top of the Championship Group at the end of the season, thus earning the visitors a place in the 2nd qualifying round of this season's Champions League competition.

Despite losing 2-1 at home to Sion in their Super League season opener, Young Boys have slipped to just two defeats in their previous 11 games overall in the domestic top flight which have come in the form of losses at the hands of Lugano and the aforementioned Sion.

However, Young Boys have also picked up seven wins within these previous 11 games and three of these seven wins have also been recorded on their travels with victories gained at Winterthur, Zurich and Servette, the latter being a 1-0 win towards the end of last season's campaign in May.

Young Boys are also unbeaten in their last five games away from home and the goals market also appeals here as well with seven of Young Boys' last 10 outings on the road resulting in Under 2.5 goals.
