Malmo recorded an emphatic 5-0 victory at home against Kalmar on Friday night in the Swedish Allsvenskan which handed the league leaders a three-point lead at the top of the domestic top flight table over second placed Djurgarden, while Elfsborg registered a solid 2-0 home win against Halmstad which helped the visitors up into sixth place in the division.

Malmo have made a promising start to this Allsvenskan campaign as the hosts have been dealt just the one defeat so far this season which ironically came in the form of a heavy 3-1 loss away from home at Tuesday's upcoming opponents, Elfsborg, but nevertheless, Henrik Rydstrom's side have also picked up some important wins to date as well.

Tuesday night's hosts have collected nine wins within their opening 11 games of the campaign which includes picking up five wins on the trot on home soil at their Eleda Stadion with victories gained over the likes of Hammarby, Vasteras, AIK, GAIS and Kalmar respectively.
