Halmstad will be keen to return to their Örjans Vall ground for Saturday afternoon's clash with GAIS in the Swedish top flight after slipping to a second defeat on the trot last time out when they suffered a 2-0 loss away from home at Elfsborg, while GAIS experienced the complete opposite as the visitors registered a second win on the trot in the Allsvenskan by way of a comprehensive 3-0 home win against Hacken.

Recent back-to-back defeats on the road at Djurgarden and Elfsborg have resulted in Halmstad to drop down the Allsvenskan table to ninth place and indeed recent results have taken a turn for the worse where Magnus Haglund's side are concerned as the hosts have lost four out of their last five games overall.

Amongst these seven wins, GAIS have recorded wins on their travels at Varnamo and Kalmar which shows GAIS have made a decent fist of things since returning to the Swedish top flight after a 12-year absence and the visitors will fancy their chances of collecting a third league win on the trot at Örjans Vall against an inconsistent Halmstad outfit here on Saturday afternoon.

Having won six of their last eight games overall in the Allsvenskan, confidence will certainly be high amongst the GAIS camp as they prepare for this upcoming trip to take on a Halmstad outfit whom they registered a 2-0 win away from home in the Svenska Cupen back in February 2021.
