AIK slipped to a third league defeat on the trot last weekend in the Swedish top flight when they were dealt a 2-1 defeat away from home at Hammarby which has resulted in Monday night's hosts to drop down the Allsvenskan table to ninth place ahead of this upcoming clash against IFK Goteborg who recorded a 1-0 home win against high-flying Mjallby at their Gamla Ullevi ground.

Goteborg have also produced an erratic start to their Allsvenskan campaign as the visitors have managed to capture just three wins within their opening 10 league matches in the domestic top flight which came in the form of wins against Kalmar and Brommapojkarna (both away from home) and the aforementioned victory over Mjallby.

However, the visitors have also been handed five defeats within these 10 games overall which include defeats on their travels at Halmstad and GAIS, so picking an outright winner for this upcoming fixture with AIK looks to be a difficult task.

The bigger picture shows Goteborg have managed to claim just four wins out of their previous 16 games overall in the Swedish top flight, three of which were away from home which gives Jens Askou's side a glimmer of hope here on Monday night, while six of Goteborg's last 10 away games have also seen both teams score.
