Real Sociedad returned to winning ways last Saturday in the Spanish top flight when they recorded a welcome 3-2 win away from home at Granada which prevented two previous defeats at the hands of Villarreal and Sevilla from turning into something more sinister, while Cadiz claimed just their third league win of the entire La Liga season to date with an impressive and seemingly highly unlikely 2-0 home win against Atletico Madrid last weekend.

That win on the road at Granada has helped lift Real Sociedad back into contention for a possible European spot for next season as the hosts now occupy sixth place where they hold a slender one-point lead over seventh placed Real Betis, so the hosts know they cannot afford another slip-up here at their Reale Arena.

However, this may be easier said than done as Imanol Alguacil's side have managed to capture just three wins out of their last 12 league matches in the domestic top flight which have come in the form of victories against Celta Vigo, Mallorca and Granada and interestingly, all of these wins have been achieved on their travels.

Having won just once in their last seven home games, the goals market beckons here as five of Real Sociedad's last seven home games have also resulted in Under 2.5 goals.

Cadiz still remain in the bottom three of the La Liga table despite picking up a rare victory which came in the form of a solid 2-0 home win against fourth placed Atletico Madrid, which in turn broke a miserable 23-game winless run in the domestic top flight, so there was relief all round the Cadiz camp afterwards.

However, each of Cadiz's three league wins so far this season have been achieved on home soil at their Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla which means that results away from home this term have done very little in helping the visitors escape the possible trap-door in this campaign.

Indeed, Mauricio Pellegrino's side have failed to win a single game on the road this season as they have been involved in six stalemates and eight defeats within their total of 14 outings to date.

Needless to say, the straight win markets should be avoided at all cost where Cadiz are concerned especially away from home but a lack of goals looks likely in this Friday night clash at the Reale Arena as no fewer than 12 of Cadiz's 14 away games this season have resulted in Under 2.5 goals being scored.
